Valley Cardiology, the largest cardiology group in Southern
Riverside County. Although he is an invasive and interventional
cardiologist by training and experience, he understands
that it is critical to balance the various aspects of
diet, exercise and stress reduction as well as other
interventions to foster greater cardiovascular health
and slow the progression of atherosclerosis. The Salus
Heart and Wellness Program is the culmination of his
years of work with patients and heart disease and embodies
his commitment to helping people explore new ways of
thinking about their health. Dr. Treister maintains
a part-time practice of cardiology in association with
the group he founded in 1992.
In 2003, Dr.
Treister became the first medical director of the Cushman
Wellness Center at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego.
He helped design and implement a comprehensive Health
Screening Program for individuals seeking a detailed
medical evaluation that includes blood work, stress
testing, coronary calcium scoring, nutritional and exercise
